On campus access for your streaming media device is available on the FSC Media wireless network. Access is granted based on device type.  If you experience issues with your device please contact the Rinker Technology Center. 863-616-6426.  The following wireless devices are not supported on any FSC wireless network:

  • Wireless printers of any model
  • Personal routers
  • Personal video cameras, such as Nest cameras (due to privacy issues; please contact Student Life if you need more information about this restriction)
  • Any device that provides DHCP
  • Additionally, any kind of file sharing server or software is forbidden.

Please note: Because security protocols differ among devices FSC cannot guarantee connection for all TVs, gaming consoles, and other streaming media devices.  FSC ITS does not block access to specific devices (other than those listed in the above paragraph).  However, if a student is unable to connect with a particular device because of the device's specific security protocol, there is an option to purchase an individual Spectrum internet connection by contacting Spectrum Property Solutions (Ms. CJ Arnet) by calling 863-288-2246 during normal business hours, M - F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Students who elect to obtain an individual internet connection are responsible for their Spectrum bill and stopping or transferring services when departing the college.
