It seems a lot of this has to do with ensuring that the classroom environment is conducive to learning for students of all backgrounds. An organized and coordinated environment gives students something that they can rely on. It makes the classroom environment more welcoming and comforting, and it reduces distractions. As most students with disabilities are placed in the general education classroom for most of the day, the teacher must ensure his or her classroom, and any activities done in it, are accessible for these students without any loss to the majority of the class.
