Course Description

Projects will follow the criteria and guidelines provided by Enactus. Enactus is an international non-profit organization with the mission to bring together the leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. Enactus is active on more than 1,500 college and university campuses in more than 39 countries. The projects developed and implemented by Enactus teams are focused on serving communities. The audiences will vary as will the level of need but the common element in every project is that you get to be a part of changing people's lives for the better. How? By taking what you learn in the classroom and using that knowledge to create and implement outreach programs that help empower and improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Catalog Course Description
Two hours. Prerequisite: None. The Students in Free Enterprise course is an experience-based course designed to provide students with hands-on application of business concepts applied to solving real-world social problems. Participating students may have an opportunity to compete in regional competitions showcasing the team’s development and impact of projects while acquiring and developing oral and written communication skills. All majors are welcome and encouraged to enroll and make a difference in their community.
