SHUTTLE SERVICE SCHEDULE & GENERAL INFORMATION

ALL  SHUTTLE  SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS

 

See below for information on using the BusWhere App to track the whereabouts of the college's shuttles and trams.

The shuttles will have a placard designating areas/apartments that the shuttle services.

We have added two "Campus Trams", each with a capacity of 7 passengers.  The trams will have 5 designated stops on campus:  Becker; North end of cafeteria; Jenkins Field House; Rogers Building; Branscomb.

Our overall operational period will start at 7 am. The full shuttle schedule will cease at 6 pm. We will continue to have one shuttle in service for our campus until 11 pm. 

All shuttles (with the exception of the Holiday Inn shuttle) will make stops at the following locations:

  • Hollis RoomOn the east side of our campus. Students will be picked up on the south side of the Hollis Room. Students can wait under the esplanade for shade/rain protection.
  • ROTC CircleCenter of campus. Students can wait under the covered entrance to ROTC.
  • Becker/WeinsteinStudents will be dropped off near the entrance to Weinstein Computer Science off of Callahan Court. 

 

LHA Shuttle

The LHA Shuttle will be at the primary stops of LHA at the top of the hour and returning every 20 minutes. The LHA Shuttle will make the following stops on campus in this exact order:

  • The LHA Shuttle will depart LHA at the top of the hour and returning every 20 minutes.
  • Becker/Weinstein
  • ROTC
  • Hollis  

LMV Shuttle

The LMV Shuttle will be at the pickup point of LMV at the top of the hour and returning every 20 minutes.. The LMV shuttle will make the following stops:

  • The LMV Shuttle will depart LMV at the top of the hour and returning every 20 minutes.
  • PMOA
  • Edwards Blanton Nursing/Colony stop on South Blvd.
  • ROTC
  • Becker Weinstein
  • Hollis
  • This shuttle will provide service to DPT on an as needed basis.

Garden Shuttle

The Garden Shuttle will be at the Garden at the top of the hour and returning every 20 minutes. The Garden Shuttle will proceed from Garden to Star Apartments.  

  • The Garden Shuttle will depart the Garden Apartments at the top of the hour and returning every 20 minutes.
  • Star Apartments
  • ROTC
  • Becker/ Weinstein
  • Hollis

Holiday Inn Express (H.I.S.)Shuttle

  • The Holiday Inn Express Shuttle will be at the pickup point for Holiday Inn at the top of the hour.   
  • The Holiday Inn Express Shuttle will Make the same shuttle stops on campus as the other shuttles.
  • This schedule is highly dependent on traffic. 

 

Additional Shuttle Information

Overflow Shuttles

The Overflow Shuttles will be available for heavily traveled times where a stop may exceed the amount of people we can transport in a single bus. The overflow shuttles will be adjusted as needed.

 

Campus Trams

Two Trams, each with a capacity of 7 passengers.  The trams will have 5 designated stops on campus:  Becker; North end of cafeteria; Jenkins Field House; Rogers Building; Nursing and Branscomb.

 

Student Shopping Shuttle

The Student Shopping Shuttle is operational from 11:00am until 5:00pm on Saturdays; last depart being 4:00pm. It will depart from the Circle Dr. (the Cafe)at the top of each hour. The shuttle will take you to local grocery stores and pharmacies. You must call to be picked up and returned to campus before 5:00pm.

When you are ready to come home, call 863-680-5010 and the shuttle will return you to campus.


Nightly Shuttle Service

The Night Shuttle will run from 6:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday. 
This shuttle will pick you up anywhere on campus, and at any off-campus housing complex.  The Shuttle will escort you around campus, to and from any apartment complex and return you to any spot back on campus.

On campus access for your streaming media device is available on the FSC Res Hall wireless network. Access is granted based on device type. If you experience issues with your device please contact the Rinker Technology Center. 863-616-6426. The following devices are not supported on any FSC network:

Please note: Because security protocols differ among devices FSC cannot guarantee connection for all TVs, gaming consoles, and other streaming media devices. FSC ITS does not block access to specific devices (other than those listed in the above paragraph).  However, if a student is unable to connect with a particular device because of the device's specific security protocol there is an option to purchase an individual Spectrum internet connection by contacting Spectrum at 855-243-8892. During normal business hours, M – F, 8 am to 5 pm.  You will need to request a new account and provide Spectrum with your building’s physical address (if needed, this information is obtainable through Student Life) and your residence hall room number. Students who elect to obtain an individual internet connection are responsible for their Spectrum bill and stopping or transferring services when departing the college.

Safe Ride Home

Need a ride? This is a free service to students, providing complimentary cab rides from anywhere in Lakeland back to campus, if you have an emergency situation or feel unsafe. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Be sure to have your Student ID ready and to tip the driver. Just call 863-665-8151.

Add Moc Bucks to your FSC ID card

Information on how students, families, and friends can deposit funds directly on your FSC ID card into Moc Bucks via the internet can be found here How to add funds. Now you do not need to visit the business office or wait until they are open but you can add funds at any time.  Note that there is a $1 convenience fee for each online deposit.  You may continue to visit the business office to add funds.

To use the mobile app, download it. Next, select 'Florida Southern College' from the dropdown, then follow these instructions How to add funds. Finally, set up a PIN.
